Hong Kong Sea Cadet Force Medal/Clasp

The Hong Kong Sea Cadet Force Medal/Clasp 2021 is due for nomination.  In light of the Covid-19 epidemic affecting Hong Kong for nearly 2 years which has greatly restricted the volunteer service by members of the Corps.  It is therefore the requirement for service hours in the year 2021 will once again flexible be considered under this circumstance.

To be eligible for the award, he/she must have rendered efficient and meritorious service as an appointed officer or uniformed instructor in the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps actively and continuously for the last ten consecutive years. Acting period shall be counted as half of the service period. A clasp to the Medal may also be granted to those serving officers/instructors on the completion of each additional five years of qualifying service after being awarded the SCFM as stated in paragraph 7 of the regulation.

If you wish to recommend any Officer/Instructor under your command to be considered for the award, please forward the completed Recommendation Form to the Honours and Awards Committee via the HKSCC Headquarters before 27.6.2022. Documentary proof of active service and other contributions are required. A copy of the Regulation Governing the Award of the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Force Medal is enclosed herewith for your easy reference.
